Manually added directories are not stored

**Describe the bug**
After adding a new directory and switching to another directory, the added directory cannot be selected from the list

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Go to '#' tab, then '#+'
2. Add new directory: 'Switch'
3. type `libera.chat` and OK
4. Note that the room selection shows _libera.chat Network`
5. Switch to another directory, e.g. 'matrix.org'
6. Switch back to 'libera.chat'
7. Entry is not on the list, user has to type again (step 3)

**Expected behavior**
Store manually added directories and display them in the selection list
