Description

### Steps to reproduce

it appears as though I'm in the call and connected but other participants don't hear or see me. Screen shares video feeds are also out of sync/lag. Leaving and rejoining the call sometimes fixes.

I don't think it's a network issue as calling on other apps work.

1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
2. What do you click?
Join an Element call and use as normal.

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?
For my audio/video feed to go through.
#### What happened instead?
It looked like it was fine on my end but wasn't going through.
- I also joined the call on a second device to check if it wasn't just the other participants' connection.

### Additional Context
There was also a disconnected from server messages. And Key storage was automatically turned off.
### Operating system

Linux Mint

### Application version

Element Nightly version: 2026082501

### How did you install the app?

element.io/get-started

### Homeserver

matrix.org

### Will you send logs?

Yes

Research direction

Start by reproducing a call on Linux Mint with Element Nightly 2026082501, then review the logs the reporter offered and correlate the missing audio/video, screen-share lag, server disconnects, and key-storage change. Done means participants consistently receive the reporter’s audio and video and screen shares stay synchronized without requiring a leave-and-rejoin.
