Description
Steps to reproduce
- Have another person use an EC-enabled client to enter the group chat room, initiate and join the call, and this person needs to continuously speak (video is not important);
- You also use an EC-enabled client to enter the group chat room;
- Disable the microphone;
- Join the call.

What happened instead?
At this point, the other party's voice is always output through the speakerphone, and clicking the switch button below has no effect. The key to reproducing this issue is step 2; the microphone must be disabled before joining the call.
If the microphone is restored after joining the call, it will work normally.
The standalone version (specifying the EC instance URL for the app via developer options) was used for testing, not the embedded version.

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Start by reproducing the call on Element Call 0.20.1-rc1 with the microphone disabled before joining, using the standalone app on Android 15. Done means the earpiece/speaker switch works in that state and continues to work when the microphone is restored.
