Keyboard Shortcuts (M Mute; V Toggle Camera) don't always work, depending on the selected element

### Steps to reproduce

1. In a call, click the background.
2. Key Press M or V, and the mic/camera toggles work correctly

NEXT

1. Click the Mute or Video toggle buttons, this works correctly
2. New press M or V on the keyboard, they do not function correctly, they appear to highlight the control without activating it.

RELATED

1. In a video call, click away to another tab.
2. Click back to the call
3. Inconsistently, the M/V keys do not function. Probably for the same reason of selected element.

M/V shortcuts work consistently.

I have to click the background to be sure they work.
