Intermittent notifications/ringing

### Steps to reproduce

1. Install android app
2. Log into it
3. Receive messages/calls

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?
I expect to always receive a notification, with sound, when a message is received, and to always have it ring when someone calls.

#### What happened instead?
Sometimes it makes a noise and sometimes it rings, but more often than not it does not.

Note: I'd love to send logs if it would be helpful, but it's impossible, since the only time it would provide useful info is after a notification/ring failure, which due to its very nature I don't know when it happens to be able to submit a log. Also, while there are other issues regarding notification problems, I believe this is different because they do sometimes work.
