### Steps to reproduce
My SO when she has our 1on1 chat in Element on Android open will not see the messages I send her until she "backs out" of the room. No matter how many messages I send. But she sees the messages she sent.
This has only happened in the last few weeks or so.
### Outcome
I expect her to receive every message I send, very shortly after I send them. Instead of her never receiving them until she backs-out of the room.
