Description

### Your use case

#### Why would you like to do it?

The username circle/settings button (which is a very non-obvious path to settings for new users, BTW) and the search button have a giant empty white space between them in the new layout. It looks like a giant forehead, and serves no functional purpose. When you scroll down, though, the "All Chats" header text slides up to occupy the space, which looks loads better, and reduces wasted space.

#### What would you like to do?

The username circle could be a username chip instead. And there should be some icon/text/imagery to indicate that this button doubles as the Settings button of the app. Or there should be a separate Settings button entirely. There is so much space after all.

(Why was it decided to remove the Settings entry from the 3-dot menu? Any user who is trying to find it will eventually try the 3-dot menu as a last resort, if nothing else.)
