Send video with original size is broken on Android

I have been trying to send videos with the option "send video in original size" but it always fails. I have tried multiple different days and with different videos just to make sure but it fails every time. When you hit retry, the video is compressed automatically without giving you an option. I am using element on Android (version 1.4.2 [40104022] (G-b6284)) on the matrix.org server. My Android version is 12.
