Newly arriving dm invite is briefly sorted into room before immediately disappearing to peoples tab

When you invite a person that has their element android client open (in this case via a verification request, not sure if that's important here) the arriving invite gets sorted into the rooms tab for a brief second before switching to the peoples tab. While that's not exactly breaking anything it's quite confusing and disorienting for the user. This happened with 2 different users during in person verification now.
