Sent Message always being displayed above composer

#### Describe the bug
I've sent a single :roll_eyes: emoji and the message was received. After each new message that was sent, the emoji jumped below it, getting out of order.
The emoji is missing from the conversation in the desktop client.
It looks alright to the other party.

#### Expected behavior
I expect messages to stay in their order and to not keep moving around/getting missing in other clients
