"Jump to first unread message." Will not go away

#### Describe the bug
When in direct messages and group messages, the "Jump to first unread message." banner shows up, after tapping it, and scrolling back down to try and get rid of it, it shows back up as soon as another message is sent or received.

All of the messages have been read, especially in 1:1 chats... We message back and forth a lot, so there is no reason the messages wouldn't have gotten read.

#### To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Use a room normally
2. Tap the "Jump to first unread message." banner
3. Scroll back down to current messages.
4. Observe the banner return when receiving or sending new messages.

#### Expected behavior
The banner goes away after tapping it and stays gone because the message should have been marked as read.
