VoIP Comfort Noise

During a call I had today, there fell a long silence, long enough that it made me believe the VoIP connection was dropped (without audible notification).

[Comfort Noise](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comfort_noise) could be a way to battle this, its a very low white-noise that'll play on a receiving end of the call to indicate the network is still up.
