don't mark room as unread due to emoji reactions

It's slightly annoying when rooms are marked as unread (light green bar left of the room on the main page) simply because someone reacted to a message with a thumbs up. Can we add an option to turn this on/off?

I'd be willing to contribute this if someone pointed me in the right direction. (I've never contributed here before.)
