Own message in encrypted room was replaced with "Encrypted message".

Message was sent from android element app.

After a short while, my own message in encrypted room was replaced with "Encrypted message".

Restarting the app doesn't help.

The message is also not visible on my only other verified device, which is a windows client. There, there's no trace of the message at all.

Another group member can see the message and even emoji-reacted to it (see image).


When long pressing the "Encrypted message" text, I get the "Due to end to end encryption, you might need to wait" - text, which is absurd, because it's my own message on the same device it was sent from.
