"In reply to" formatting broken on multiple replies

Description
There seems to be something wrong with the text formatting in "In reply to" messages. If there are multiple of those message from one user in a row, the last message body gets prepended to the next message. See the Screenshots attached. In this case the messages all came from the same sender, but it's also reproducible with two participants.

The Homeserver is running synapse in Version 1.15

The part before "!Lorem...." wasn't part of the message that was send. It looks like the last reply message got prepended
