Notification rate limiting for noisy notifications

I'm in a room with a friend. Every time I get a message from him (serveral message in a short time frame) my phone vibrates/rings/makes noise almost constantly. This is very irriating.
I suggest to provide an option to **either**:
- snooze a rooms notifications temporarily (5min,1h,24h) or
- only show new notifications for the same room once the old one has been acknowledged
