Description
**What the feature is and who it’s for**
This feature introduces flexible logging controls for Elastic Cloud Hosted users who want more granular control over how their Hosted deployments logs are managed. It’s designed for administrators and DevOps teams looking to reduce storage overhead, improve visibility, and align log management with their operational and compliance needs.
**Value proposition**
Elastic Cloud Hosted customers can now enable only the logs that matter and send them to a Hosted or Serverless destination within the same or a different CSP region, whether they care about **audit logs** for compliance, **query logs** for performance optimization, or **user activity logs** for tracking what actions users perform. This means fewer unnecessary logs taking up space, more targeted insights, and the ability to apply different retention policies per log type. In short: smarter logging, lower costs, and better control.
