Description
## Summary
Discover adds Export JSON to the Export menu. Users can preview the session configuration, download it, or open it in Console. The flyout can export only the current tab and can include current time settings for unsaved sessions. Reporting and sharing still lists CSV for Discover and JSON only for dashboards. That page now omits a user-facing export path.
**Why this needs docs:** This is a new Export JSON action for Discover sessions. Existing reporting docs cover dashboard JSON and Discover CSV only.

- **What the docs say:** CSV Reports generate CSV reports of saved Discover sessions. Export JSON exports the JSON source of a dashboard. Download as JSON applies to Canvas workpads.
- **What to add:** Add a Discover Export JSON step next to the dashboard JSON option. Tell users to select Export, then Export JSON, then preview, download, or Open in Console. Mention Export only the current tab and Include current time settings for unsaved sessions. Applies from 9.6.0 and in serverless.
[Explore fields and data with Discover](https://www.elastic.co/docs/explore-analyze/discover/discover-get-started) > Share your Discover session
- **What the docs say:** To share your search and Discover view with a larger audience, click Share in the application menu. For detailed information about the sharing options, refer to Reporting.
- **What to add:** Point users to Export, then Export JSON, for session configuration. Keep Share for links. The current paragraph only mentions Share and Reporting. Applies from 9.6.0 and in serverless.
