Minor UI nuisance with dropdown fields

Hello,

dropdown fields in the UI are not collapsed when you use another UI element, such as another dropdown field are even collapse the tree on the left. As a result, they become overlapping, see screenshot.
The screenshot has 4 dropdown fields open the same time, but they overlap. (Caro is a person, Mazda is equipment)

Furthermore, to close them, you need to click on the arrow on the right, which is inconsistent with opening them. Opening them works by a click anywhere in the field.
