Description

- Can we write a reliable CI job that checks whether the pre-commit version can still read a post-commit file? Does podio have a "write one default copy of everything" that we can use?

Research direction

Start by investigating how this repository uses podio and how its CI jobs are configured. Determine whether podio can write one default copy of everything, then define a CI check that verifies a pre-commit version can read a post-commit file; done means the compatibility check runs reliably in CI.
