Description

I'm reluctant to report a bug which I cannot reliably replicate, but it is what it is.

I am running Eclipse Version: 2026-06 (4.40.0) Build id: 20260604-0653 with WindowBuilder 1.25.0.202607242301 on MacOS 26

On occasion when using WindowBuilder on a Java Swing class using design mode I find that clicking on a Component to select it and then trying to edit the properties the entries seem to block editing. I'm not sure if it's a focus problem but I can resolve it by closing Eclipse and reloading it again.

I does not happen so often that it's a major problem - but it is curious and I wonder if something has changed in Eclipse or WindowBuilder.

I recall replicating a issue like this without a Mac is problematic- sorry.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in Eclipse WindowBuilder with a Java Swing class in design mode on MacOS, selecting a component and editing its properties. Investigate whether the properties palette loses focus or becomes read-only, and verify that the properties can be edited without restarting Eclipse.
