Generic type body reader fails with MessageBodyProviderNotFoundException

Jersey version: 2.25
I am running tests with `JerseyTest` and trying to read the response body which contains a list of items. If I use type parameter everything works well.
```
Response response = target("/contacts").request(MediaType.APPLICATION_XML).get();

List stringValue = response.readEntity(new GenericType>() {

});
```
But as soon as I use wildcard type argument, I get exception:

Response response = target("/contacts").request(MediaType.APPLICATION_XML).get();

List stringValue = response.readEntity(new GenericType>() {

});
```
