Update antd, react, and vscode-messenger dependencies

We should update antd and react (peer) dependencies as part of an overall refresh of dependencies.
Slightly more effort is expected due to
- css updates from antd
- API changes in react and react-dom (major version updates).
- vscode-messenger parts, these turned out to cause trouble, hence need a bit of debugging.

Should not block releases, but catching up rather sooner than later would be beneficial.
