Hi @easytargetmixel !
I've been using Germainz's Identiconizer (https://github.com/GermainZ/Identiconizer ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718943) for some time, but it unfortunately appears to now be abandonned.
However, it has some cool features, such as several icon styles, automatic icon generation for new contacts (along with an optionnal Xposed module), and so on.
Why not fork Identiconizer and/or integrate your own icon style in it ?
