Description
Would be interesting to implement some checks/tests for random effects, similar to lmerTest::ranova() but that would work also with Bayesian models and all. I don't know what other types of checks/tests exists

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. First clarify which random-effects checks are desired, how they should support Bayesian models, and what behavior would count as done before locating the relevant R implementation and tests.
