What Types of Videos are we Creating?

## ⚠️ Disclaimer: this _might_ not be for you (_and that's "OK"!_)

If you are the type of person who feels that "_all the music has already been made_",
or how could anyone _possibly_ come up with anything **`new`** after _centuries_ of music and a "finite number of notes" on the guitar/piano/etc. ... then you probably shouldn't read this.

If you have a [**fixed mindset**](https://youtu.be/M1CHPnZfFmU) about _anything_ (_money, relationships, ideas, abilities, skills_), work on that _first_. And **`if`** after you have developed an [_abundance/growth_ mindset](https://youtu.be/Wp9pBU7oaa8), you feel like you have something to _share_, come back and join me/us in creating content that is **_meaningful_ to _you_**.

# Make Art 🎨

My objective with making videos is nothing more than making "art".

I very much agree with Seth Godin's sentiment in this video.
In my youth, I was _against_ "art for art's sake" because I didn't see the point.
But I've since realised that Art very much has a purpose: ***happiness***!

# My Plan: Tell the _Story_ That _I_ Want to Watch 🍿

My plan is to tell the story that I will watch back when I am old(er) and no longer able to run around.

Over the next 5 years (_at least_) my/our plan is to create a _lot_ of videos on a wide range of subjects.
I'm 100% _aware_ that there are _already **thousands**_ of channels for each type of video listed below. In the same way that there were already _thousands_ of people making Art _long_ before [Basquiat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Michel_Basquiat) or [Banksy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banksy) made their first scribble. Everywhere around the world there are people creating new content each day because they are _driven_ to make it for _themselves_. Each day there are 350,000 babies born in the world. _Most_ of the people having children _want_ to have them. (_sadly there are still many kids born to people who don't want them, but that's a whole other topic, let's focus on the **billions** of people who **do** want to kids_). If you feel there are "already enough people" in the world you won't understand the people who are still procreating.
What most non-creators don't _get_ about creators is that they do it for first and foremostly for _themselves_. And that's _exactly_ why I have opened this issue.

If the list below feels "_overwhelming_", pick ***one*** type of video that you would _enjoy_ making and start thinking about that.

+ [ ] Furniture - make a chair, table, bed, wardrobe, sofa, etc. from scratch.
+ [ ] Lighting - making/installing circadian-friendly lights
+ [ ] Gardening - growing your own food (_and companion plants_)
+ [ ] Food recipes and healthy eating. Yes, there are _already_ hundreds of channels for cooking videos and _thousands_ (_if not millions_) of recipe/cooking videos. We don't _need_ to "compete" with any of these. Our purpose is to capture how to make our "Top 30 Delicious Vegan Recipes" such that _we_ make the effort to _find_ the food that we _love_ eating that is healthy for us and the people we love.
+ [ ] Exercise? (_body weight exercise for "zero excuses" fitness/strength_).
+ [ ] "Behind The Scenes" (or "Making Of") videos where appropriate to show the _process_ of making the videos. We should capture and categorise the "[B-Roll](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-roll)" so that we build up a bank of shots showing our setup.
