Is there _already_ a "Spanner" adapter for Ecto (_so we can use it with Phoenix_)...?
_Obviously_ this implies using the Google Cloud Platform-as-a-Service, but most of our clients would _welcome_ this idea...

Start by checking current Ecto adapter support and the linked Cloud Spanner material; done would be an evidence-based answer identifying an existing adapter or documenting the feasibility and scope of creating one.
