Description
You will notice the _conspicuous_ absence of **`Microsoft Windows`** in this `dev-setup` doc.
This is not to say that people who are confined to `Windows` _cannot_ follow our tutorials,
or contribute to our projects and products.
It's simply that we know from experience that _developing_ web based software is more _challenging_ from `Windows`.
Again, not saying there aren't plenty of people using
Plenty of people use Windows for work:
https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2024/technology/#1-operating-system
And there are _endless_ discussion threads online on the merits of different operating systems.
The _reason_ we use `Mac` or `Linux` @dwyl is simple:
our _target_ platform is `iOS` (`iPhone` for mobile-first apps)
and we _deploy_ on `Linux` so knowing `Linux/Unix` is beneficial to [`DevOps`](https://github.com/dwyl/learn-devops)
We don't _actively_ test our tutorials or stack on `Windows` because none of us _use_ it.
But if _you_ are using `Windows` and want to add a section to the `README.md` of this repo,
please be our guest!
Pull Requests - as always - are welcome! 👌
