Description

The fact that `this` Book _even exists_ should tell "_non-technical_" people a _lot_ about the software development _industry_...

If you haven't had the _experience_ of inheriting and having to maintain/extend a "_Legacy_" Codebase, either ignore this issue and an thank your lucky stars, or if you _want_ to feel the _pain_ get a job at a company/organisation that's at least 20 years old and has 50+ "_engineers_" ...

I've _personally_ felt the ***pain*** on _numerous_ occasions.
And the _worst_ is when there's _brand new instant legacy code_ ...
i.e. code that is _bad_ `while` it's being written ... and you are _powerless_ to _course-correct_! 😢

***Technical knowledge*** has _never_ been more _essential_.
At _all_ levels of the organisation.
So that _legacy decisions_ can be _avoided_!
