Description
Thanks for the work on this project. I looked in a year or two ago and it wasn't quite ready for my project, but is looking really good now.
I wonder if you might give some consideration to adding a couple of functions which are available in PostGIS/SpatialLite
[ST_AddMeasure](https://postgis.net/docs/manual-3.6/ST_AddMeasure.html) and
[ST_ClosestPoint](https://postgis.net/docs/manual-3.6/ST_ClosestPoint.html) (partially related)
