Problems installing the .net package

Problem encountered on https://dotnet.microsoft.com/learn/dotnet/hello-world-tutorial/install
Operating System: macos

I followed the process and when I tried to verify the success of the installation by running the command on my terminal it just keeps returning this message:

[Command not found: ~$]
[Could not create a new process and open a pseudo-tty.]

I already made sure I was creating a new command and it still has the same outcome. I am new to this whole world so I really have no idea what I am doing yet.

P.s. I don't know if this influences in any way but my computer is a Mac.
