Unable to create new project (Discovering project template)

### Description

Unable to create new project
When i press CMD + Shift + P and try do create new project it, it takes forever and does not do anything at all.
it only shows "**Discovering project template..."**
I clicked on the "Create /NET Project" button too, still the same

What you also need to know

I just installed the SDK today as well as the vs code extension.
initially, after the installation, when i type 'dotnet' in my terminal, it did not recognize so i then went ahead to set the PATH manually but still did not recognize it.
So eventually I had to use 'brew install dotnet' and after that installation, the terminal was able to detect the 'dotnet' command.
Then I tried to create new project and faced this issue.

btw, I have already rebooted the computer.

I am using macBook pro apple silicon Sequoia 15.4, btw
