The specified path is too long: C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared

I can click Retry over and over and it keeps the same error "The specified path is too long: C:\Program Files\dotnet\shared" I can only click Cancel. Then when I reboot for a update it auto comes up to install it and downloads it and all ways does this same error for about a year now.
