Toggle line comment not working in mac when coding .xaml file

As the title suggests, when I'm editing a XAML file in macOS, I use shortcuts or click Edit -> Toggle Line Comment. These ways don't work.

I tried it in windows as well. However, this works fine.

I'm using the latest version of vscode and I've tried removing all extensions and only keeping the C# and C# dev kit.
