MSB4018 The "DiscoverPrecompressedAssets" task failed unexpectedly exception on build after upgrading to 17.14.2 Preview 1.0

[severity:I'm unable to use this version] [regression] [worked-in:17.14.0 Preview 7.0]
I have an asp.net core solution with a blazor webassembly project hosted in an asp.net core webapi project, acting mainly as yarp proxy, but also hosting some branding files that are not to be compiled into the wasm client but served as static content from the server. Basically I have two index.html files one is in the wasm client code, the other is in the wwwroot of the hosting project. Before upgrading to Version 17.14.2 there was no issue.
But now I am facing following error when building the host project:


Rolling back to 17.14.0 Preview 7.0 solved the issue, and I have no information if it worked in 17.14.1 or not.
