Write "how to" content on diagnostic patterns for `non-root` and chiseled images

We've had a number of requests for "how to" content on diagnostic patterns for `non-root` and chiseled images. We should produce this content, both docs, samples, and blog posts. We'll use this tracking issue for our efforts.
