After following this guide, I get this message:
Service failed to start. Verify that you have suficient privileges to start system services.

I also noticed that the compiler puts out following warnings:
WIX5437: It is no longer necessary to define the standard directory 'TARGETDIR'. Use the StandardDirectory element instead.
WIX5437: It is no longer necessary to define the standard directory 'ProgramFiles6432Folder'. Use the StandardDirectory element instead.

So the guide seems outdated.
