Keep selected rows regardles of row/cell mode

Please keep row selection when I switch between row/cell mode. I often forget I'm in cell selection mode, select some rows to delete it, but it is not possible in this mode. I need to switch to row mode, but then I lose row selection.

No file or test is named. Reproduce the issue by selecting rows, switching between row and cell modes, and locating the selection-mode handling in the desktop UI; done means selected rows remain available after either mode switch and can still be deleted.
