Description

Problem

The team needs to create compelling demonstrations of the AI SDK integration that showcase real-world usage patterns and can be used in dotCMS examples and marketing materials.

Goal

Design and implement a comprehensive demo application that demonstrates all AI SDK capabilities in realistic use cases, updating existing dotCMS examples with AI-powered features.

Target Personas

  • Developer teams
  • Content teams

Demo Expectations

TBD - needs the team to come up with ideas for compelling demo scenarios that showcase:

  • Text generation for content creation
  • Image generation for visual content
  • AI-powered search and content discovery
  • Advanced completions for content analysis
  • Real-world integration patterns

User Stories

  • As a developer, I want reference implementations showing best practices and real-world patterns, so that I can understand how to effectively integrate AI features into my applications
  • As a content team member, I want to see AI capabilities in action within familiar dotCMS workflows, so that I can understand the value and potential of AI-powered content experiences
  • As a marketing team member, I want demo content for product promotion and developer education, so that I can effectively communicate the value of dotCMS AI capabilities
  • As a system administrator, I want to understand AI feature integration and configuration, so that I can properly deploy and maintain AI-enabled applications

Acceptance Criteria

  • Comprehensive demo application showcasing all AI SDK features
  • Integration into existing dotCMS example projects (Next.js, Angular, Astro)
  • Real-world use case scenarios with practical value
  • Documentation and tutorials for demo implementation
  • Performance benchmarks and best practices examples
  • Marketing-ready demonstration materials
  • Video tutorials and walkthrough content

Research direction

Read the linked dotCMS Example Projects and Developer Documentation first; no source files, tests, or entry points are named. The team must define the demo scenarios and scope before implementation, then verify the application, example integrations, documentation, benchmarks, marketing materials, and videos against the acceptance criteria.
