### Expected behavior
When running `doom upgrade`, my icons now appear to be broken on emacs 29.1 and MacOS.
### Current behavior
I've tried three different solutions:
1. Installing nerd-fonts via `M-x nerd-icons-install-fonts`
2. Installing nerd-fonts via the website and setting `(setq nerd-icons-font-names '("SymbolsNerdFontMono-Regular.ttf"))` (from #7431)
3. Moving everything in my `.config/doom` dir and running `doom install` again.
Fonts do seem to be found by `doom`:
**Current behaviour**
### Steps to reproduce
1. Open emacs
2. Observe doom dashboard
