:bug lang C: opening certain .c files freeze the buffer

### Expected behavior

open [this c file](https://github.com/siduck/chadwm/blob/main/chadwm/dwm.c)

### Current behavior

Whole of emacs become choppy , almost unusable .
- With clang i can scroll lines but still choppy , but with ccls , its stuck.
- THis issue has been addressed here https://github.com/doomemacs/doomemacs/issues/4093 previously but doesn't seem to solve the issue completely.
