Description
This would be a "two birds with one stone" kind of solution actually, since i have two use cases where this would be handy.
1.) At my homeoffice desk i switch between my work (windows) and personal (linux) machine through the built-in KVM switch of my primary display many times per day.
Every time i switch back to my linux machine the layout selection resets to default, i guess because the displays disconnected and reconnected when switching. That gets pretty annoying with time :(
2.) On days where i work on-site, i use at least two different desktop setups per day (through docking stations). It would be nice if tilingshell would remember which layouts i chose for which display or combination of displays.
So my feature request would be to maybe have the option to create profiles, identifying the individual displays or combinations of displays and storing their last layout selection.
I imagine it is not trivial to identify displays reliably, so even the option to not reset the layout selection even through display disconnects would be nice :)
