Description

File: content/manuals/subscription-billing/manage/payment-method.md

Issue

The page contains two contradictory sections about how to enable pay by invoice:

Section 1 (lines 87-103) - "Enable and disable pay by invoice":

Follow these steps to enable or disable pay by invoice:

  1. Sign in to Docker Home and select your organization.
  2. Select Billing, then Payment methods.
  3. Select Pay by invoice, then select the pay by invoice toggle to enable or disable.

This implies users can self-service enable/disable the feature via a toggle.

Section 2 (lines 147-165) - "Pay by invoice":

To add pay by invoice as a payment method, contact your Docker sales representative.

This says users must contact sales to add the feature.

Why this matters

A reader trying to set up pay by invoice will be confused about whether they can do it themselves via a toggle in the UI, or whether they need to contact sales. The two sections give completely different instructions for the same task.

Suggested fix

Clarify the actual process:

  • If users must contact sales first to get the feature enabled on their account, and THEN they can toggle it on/off in the UI, explain this two-step process clearly
  • If the toggle is only available after sales enables it, the first section should mention this prerequisite
  • If one of these sections is outdated, remove it

Consider consolidating both sections into one clear explanation of the complete process.

Research direction

Read content/manuals/subscription-billing/manage/payment-method.md, especially the “Enable and disable pay by invoice” section at lines 87-103 and the “Pay by invoice” section at lines 147-165. Confirm the intended enablement flow with the relevant product documentation or maintainer, then make both sections describe one consistent process without contradictory instructions.
