Description
Hello,
I would like to have a fake docker client for testing purposes, where I could define services, containers, and volumes with a specific status (failed, running, etc).
If you find this useful, I could start working on a PR to implement it.
Thank you.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by surveying docker-py’s client API and existing testing structure, then define the fake client’s scope for services, containers, volumes, and statuses. Done requires an agreed interface and tests covering the proposed status configurations.
