Description
Description
It would be nice if it would be possible to implicitly set this parameter for a created container via ~/.docker/config.json.
Either a concrete cgroup, either make it inherit one from the CLI run.
This could be integrated with forwarding /var/run/docker.sock to Kubernetes pods or Slurm's srun.

Research direction
Start at the docker run entry point and inspect how ~/.docker/config.json options are loaded and how CgroupParent is passed when a container is created. Clarify whether the configuration should provide a concrete cgroup or inherit one from the CLI run, then verify both behavior paths with the relevant CLI checks.
