Description

Description

docker manifest create does not allow to create a manifest from unpushed images.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. docker build some images locally
  2. docker manifest create using the images you just created

Describe the results you received:

no such manifest: registry/mylocalimg:tag

Describe the results you expected:

It should create the manifest locally, and when I push it (docker manifest push), it should push everything.

Additional information you deem important (e.g. issue happens only occasionally):

Research direction

Reproduce the issue with local images using docker build followed by docker manifest create, then inspect the CLI entry points for docker manifest create and docker manifest push. Done means a manifest can be created from unpushed local images and pushed with its referenced images.
