Description

Instead of cross-compiling in CI, we should have native workers to build binaries; possibly, this would also reveal issues, such as https://github.com/docker/cli/pull/2329

In addition, we could remove the use of the cross-compile image (related: https://github.com/docker/golang-cross/pull/45)

Research direction

Start by reviewing the repository's CI configuration and identifying where macOS binaries are currently cross-compiled. Trace references to the cross-compile image and compare them with the linked pull requests. Done means native macOS workers build the binaries successfully and the cross-compile image is no longer needed.
