Description
I am using php:8.4-fpm-alpine3.22
For the sake of simplicity I want to use php cli and php-fpm using the same container. However I need different configurations, for example setting memory_limit.
-
I understand from the docs and source code that
/usr/local/etc/php-fpm.d/should be parsed when using php-fpm, but this is completely ignored. (Not sure if/usr/local/etc/php-fpm.confshould be parsed as well, this is ignored as well) -
There is
/usr/local/etc/php/conf.d/docker-fpm.ini, but this is parsed by both cli and fpm ... -
Do I miss any configuration that is needed, or is it currently just not possible to define different settings for cli and fpm?
php-fpm -i (same output if I use phpinfo() via browser)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the reported behavior in the php:8.4-fpm-alpine3.22 image with php-fpm -i and php -i. Inspect the image configuration around /usr/local/etc/php-fpm.d/, /usr/local/etc/php-fpm.conf, and /usr/local/etc/php/conf.d/docker-fpm.ini; done means establishing whether separate CLI and FPM settings are supported and documenting or correcting the observed behavior.
