Provide a direct link to the (commit)history in github/gitlab on the html page

**Problem**
I want to see the commit history for a html page.
At the moment it needs two clicks to go to the history for a page and it is not obvious or intuitive:
1. click "Improve this doc" on the html page
2. click "History" in github/gitlab

**Solution**
Provide a direct link to the (commit)history in github/gitlab for a html page.
It can be placed below the links "Improve this doc" and "Create Issue".

Inspect the HTML page generation and the existing “Improve this doc” and “Create Issue” links. Add a direct GitHub/GitLab history link below them, then verify that generated HTML pages expose the expected history destination.
