DGL support and development status

Hello DGL Team,

First of all, thank you for your outstanding work on DGL. We have been using DGL extensively for our research projects and have found it to be a very fast, simple, and intuitive framework for graph machine learning. Its integration with PyTorch and its efficient, well-designed API have made DGL our main tool for graph ML research. We truly appreciate what the DGL team has delivered to our community.

However, recently we've noticed that there has been very low visible activity on the official GitHub repository. The last commit was made just over a month ago, but it came after a 6-month gap since the previous commit, and the most recent release was more than a year ago. This change in activity is quite concerning to us — we are worried about the state of ongoing support and future development of the DGL framework.

We are reaching out to kindly ask if there is any update you could share regarding the status of DGL. Has the official support or development slowed down or stopped? Or is there any other reason behind the recent decrease in activity?

As committed users who constantly rely on DGL for our research and strongly prefer it over other frameworks, it would be extremely helpful for us (and most likely for many others in the community) to understand the current outlook and your recommendations going forward.
